Abstract
Distinction between different amphibolite types usually is solvable by great numbe r of discrimination diagrams based on chemical composition and trace element content. Using mathematical statistics (cluster analysis as well as hypothesis analysis) anothe r method is presented in this paper This attempt proves a fairly good fitness of these statistical methods for the distinction of amphi bolites.
