Abstract
The contribution is a mental summary of criminology subject at law faculty, Szeged. The public order is not equal the lack of criminality, the safety is threaten by much risk in weekday. Cesare Beccaria accordingly established 250 years ago: it is much better preventing the guilt than punishing. A the safety recently is mutual social product, not only responsibility of police. In our day we have a good framework for the crime prevention, The National Strategy of Societal Crime Prevention. In Hungary the situation is criminality is bearable, it is adequate to economic stage of our country. In the last decade approximately 500 000 crimes and 120 000 perpetrators were put on the map. We have the joint responsibility to help the hard pressed persons after their punishment do fit in our society.
