Abstract

Motivational management is an important strategic tool of concerns because it promotes the recruitment, extendended employment and motivation of adequate employees. Positive effects of motivational strategies on performance are substantial however this fact is rarely mentioned often in specialised literature. Efficient use of resources is necessary for optimal operation in which performance evaluation plays a key role. Unfortunately, employees living with disabilities or with reduced capacity to work still face the preconception that their performance is poor and they are in need of positive discrimination. As a result they are rarely employed. The study looks into the motivational strategies and the most often adopted performance evaluating practices applicable to employees with disabilities or reduced capacity to work. Our data was collected with the help of surveys carried out in organisations operating in the Northern Great Plain region, a case study and interviews conducted with executives and human resource management professionals. This research was realized in the frames of TÁMOP 4.2.4. A/2-11- 1-2012-0001 „National Excellence Program – Elaborating and operating an inland student and researcher personal support system” The project was subsidized by the European Union and co-financed by the European Social Fund.
