Abstract
Germany is the powerhouse of Europe, the European Union’s most populous nation, often referred to as the treasurer of the Union. The role of financial harmonization as regards outstanding. The structure of the TARGET system is columnar member, historical antagonisms put aside actively cooperate with France and Italy. Switzerland and Liechtenstein with its advanced financial literacy is playing an important role in the life of the continent. We could not ignore their traditional economic cooperation. This study will attempt to briefly outline the development of clearing houses in Europe and the Alpine countries and their impact on the financial lives. We make a detour in the direction of the characteristics of the Swiss and German settlement systems. We try to shed light on the importance of the lifting of bank secrecy in Switzerland and the joining to the TARGET2 Securities system.
