Abstract
The turn of 20th and 21st centuries the migration pressure amplified and the EU member states have been missing the common devotion, the fair burden and the share of the cost of the border control. Italy is emblematic member of the international migration. The begining of 20th century Italy was ”emitters” country then became ”receiving” country. In the first part of the study gives an insight into Italy like an emitters country, we examine the relations with the United States of America which is one of the biggest receiving country. That ’s why the migration policy of the USA is very useful in this case. In the second part of the study gives an insight into Italy’s migration policy. This paper intends to review this topic and examines the Italian migration trends, policy reactions and their relationship with society.
