Abstract
Achilleus Tatios regényében, a Leukippé és Kleitophón történetében a szerelmespár egymásra találásának fordulatos cselekményét feltűnően sok mitikus utalás gazdagítja. Az érintett szöveghelyek jól elkülöníthetők aszerint, hogy milyen kontextusban, ill. funkcióban kerülnek szóba az ismert mitikus alakok és történetek. Figyelembe véve, hogy milyen jelenetben hangzik el az adott mítosz (ki mondja el, hogyan kapcsolódik a cselekményhez, milyen médiuma van az adott történetnek), a mitikus utalásokat három csoportba soroltam. Így az első csoportban a paradigmatikus mitológiai utalások, a másodikban az aitiológiai történetek, a harmadikban pedig a képleírások szerepelnek. Jelen írásomban a három mitikus témájú ekphrasisra koncentrálva mutatom be, hogyan kezeli Achilleus Tatios elbeszélője ezeket a mitikus történeteket, milyen szempontokat érvényesít képleírásaiban. Különös figyelmet szentelek Philoméla, Téreus és Prokné mítoszának, mely háromszor is, a fent említett csoportokba illeszkedve, azaz a hétköznapi életre vetített példázatként, egy aitiológiai utalással és egy ekphrasisban is szóba kerül. Achilles Tatius’ novel Leucippe and Clitophon follows the conventional pattern of ancient Greek novels but enriches the plot with a lot of mythical references. These mythological motifs can be divided into several groups according to their context and function. Considering who mentions the myth, how it connects to the plot and what the medium of the myth is, I found the following three groups: the first one contains the mythological references mentioned as exempla, the second one includes some aitiological stories and the third one is made up of ekphraseis describing mythical stories. Focusing on these ekphraseis, in this paper I try to answer the questions of how the well–known mythical figures and stories are incorporated into the narrative, and how the narrator recalls the mythical story while he is commenting on the iconographical elements.
