Abstract

As an important consequence of the First World War, the Croatian–Hungarian state community, which has existed for more than eight hundred years, has been dissolved. Among the countries that were previously in personal union, Hungary became independent, while Croatia became the part of the newly unified South-Slavic state. Before 1945, József Bajza dealt with the subject for the most part, so his studies are unavoidable by historiography. In my study, after the author’s biography, I am going to outline his publications during the First World War, including his study about the dissolution of the Croatian–Hungarian Union as well, which he wrote after the war.
