Abstract
We deal with a control problem for a coupled system of two degenerate singular parabolic equations in non-divergence form with degeneracy and singularity appearing at an interior point of the space domain. In particular, we consider the wellposedness of the problem and then we prove the null controllability property via an observability inequality for the adjoint system. The key ingredient is the derivation of a suitable Carleman-type estimate.
