Absztrakt (kivonat)

In the essay I examine how the manors manage their forests on this territory which was famous about its old slavonic oak forests at that time. I was excited about that what kind of forest management system was built in the 19th century in the manors which are located in this the region. I dealt with every manors which are located in the right and the left side of the Dráva. At the very beginning of my essay I point out what the forest given to the members of the society of the 19th century. I do this, becouse I would like to show that why the forest was so important for the men of the age. Furthermore, I point out what kind of changes happened by the Forest Law of 1879 in the lifes of the involved and in their farming methods. I show forestry specificities of the manors along Drava river that I examined and separately evaluated their management, organizational, profit taking and afforestation methods. Finally, I examine that how much the qualitative forestry is related to the modern wood industry.
