Abstract

Today climate changing is one of the most serious global problems. In my resaerch I dealt with the work of the United Nations on the field of environmental policy. It includes the coherent UN conferences, important framework on climate change conferences and also agreements. I scanned the political and economic interests, which crossed the development of this field. I found that the first and the second conferences were very useful and successful but the other ones were ineffective. There were two partly efficient framework conferences (Kyoto and Paris) out of 24, but these are also did not achieved all of its goals. The greatest emitters such as the United States, Russia or China hostile with these steps because these can push back their economy. However, drastic and urgent steps could be taken to mitigate the impacts of climate change and it could be ahead as other interests. The climate change can also cause political issues as the challenge of climate refugees, who starts their journey because of lack of fresh water or food.
