Abstract

The stroke nowadays occupies the 3rd place in the death list. According to the data of the Hungarian Stroke Association, about 50 000 people get stroke annually in Hungary. The outcome of the disease depends largely on the time it takes for the event to occur and the start of treatment in the stroke center. So it is very important to draw people's attention to how the stroke can recognize, what kind of symptoms should an ambulance be called immediately. In the field of treatments, we do not yet have a drug with neuroprotective effect that reduces the chronic effects of stroke, but we know an endogenous molecule whose analogues can play an important role in trying to help these patients. Currently, the research is in a preclinical phase, in which I am also involved. I would like to present the results so far and to illustrate our further plans that I will do.
