Abstract
The article analyses the peculiarities of precedential phenomena in the process of studying the Ukrainian as a foreign language. Various kinds of precedential phenomena (names, expressions, situations) are used in modem mass media are considered. Communicative efficiency of using precedencies with the phraseological foreground is grounded. Attention is given to multilevel ethnocultural information encoded in phraseological units. In the article the possibility of using these transformed phraseological units in the process of learning a foreign language is analyzed. Changes in the phraseological structures are considered the author’s own stylistic device.
