Abstract
Resumen: A principios de los años 70, después de 13 años de lucha, la guerra colonial de Portugal se convierte en un callejón sin salida. La revolución del 25 de abril representa el fin del ciclo imperial iniciado con la expansión marítima en el siglo XV. La consumación del régimen de Salazar era necesario e inevitable. La guerra colonial no solo perjudica el prestigio de las Fuerzas Armadas, sino también delapida la riqueza del estado. Aunque después del 25 de abril, la revolución solo tiene un sentido superficial, ya que el nuevo poder es incierto, indeciso y dividido. Todo omienza con una revuelta militar encabezada por grupo de jóvenes oficiales demócratas y antifascistas con el deseo de poner fin a la guerra colonial. Y el resultado, en pocos meses, es una deformación. Este escrito analiza las ideas de Natália Correia y António de Spínola, en el período entre AbrilSeptiembre del 1974. Palabras clave: Salazarismo, colonialismo, Estado Nuevo, 25 de Abril, democratización Abstract: In the early 70s, after 13 years of struggle, the colonial war of Portugal became a dead end. The revolution of April 25 marked the end of the imperial cycle started with the maritime expansion in the 15th century. The consummation of the Salazar regime was necessary and inevitable. The colonial war not only harmed the prestige of the armed forces, but also exhausted financially the state. However after April 25, the revolution seemed to be only superficial, as the new government was uncertain, indecisive and divided. It all begun with a military revolt led by a group of young democrats and antifascist officials with the desire to end the colonial war. The result, in a few months, was distortion. This paper analyzes the ideas of Natália Correia and António de Spínola, in the period between April and September of 1974.
