Abstract
Up to the 1970s the research in Vojvodina was generally limited to single set-tlements. Then the Ethnographic Atlas of the Hungarians of Vojvodina recorded phenomena in the post-war period in all settlements inhabited by Hungarians. As a result we obtained data suitable for comparison on many subjects. Answers given to the questionnaires covered not only the way in which illnesses were treated but also the persons giving the treatment. The results also corrected the regional inequalities in the known facts. The micro regions that have been iden-tified can lead to new thematic research. The Serbian researchers approach folk healing from the angle of medical history. The article includes a rich bibliography.
