Abstract
The continuous growth of historical literature on the situation and everyday difficulties of religious minorities shows that the study of local communities can always add further details and enrich knowledge on the coexistence of denominations and conflicts between them.2 In this study I analyse a previously unexamined slice in the social history of Csongrád, the path and possibilities of the local Calvinist minority for social integration from the early 19th century up to the construction of the Csongrád Calvinist church (1937).
