Abstract
The palóc (Palots) is a group with a special culture in Northern Hungary. The author examines some specialities of their folk religiosity, especially in contact to the second devine person Jesus Christ. She introduces some manuscripts and apocriphal letters which were written or dictated by Jesus himself to the people in visions to reveal his wishes. These kinds of prayers were popular in the golden age of religious trashy literature, in the second part of the 19th century, but even today in certain communities we can find papers with similar origin and message. These introduced prayers show the strong wish to have a close and intimate relationship with God. There are even some documents which contents are incompatible with the official teaching of the Church. The author shows the similarities of these prayers to archaic devotions and incantations in their words, contents and functions.
