Absztrakt (kivonat)
In my paper I am dealing with the history, characteristics, biological and psychological basis and advantages of lifelong learning (LLL). LLL is the continuous building of skills and knowledge throughout the life of an individual. It occurs through experiences encountered in the course of a lifetime. First characteristic of lifelong learning is that it encompasses both formal (training, counseling, tutoring, etc.) and non-formal/informa! (experiences, situations, etc.) types o f education and training. The second characteristic is the importance of self-motivated learning. Self-funded learning is the third characteristic of the LLL. The fourth distinctive feature of the lifelong learning policy literature is a commitment to universal participation in education and training. LLL gives advantages not only for individual, but for society. It enhances social inclusion, personal development, competitiveness and employability.
