Abstract
The increasing tendency to emigrate from Serbia/Vojvodina can be analyzed based on the collective perception of the population (Hungarians), their chances and/or their individual plans. In this paper I will give an overview of the social well-being of Hungarians in Vojvodina, the typical educational and regional labor market opportunities. I consider it important to analyze the research of Hungarians in Vojvodina in the last decades, mainly because of the development of individual educational life plans and work or migration plans. According to my hypothesis, the typical lifestyles and career paths that are typical of the elite migration have emerged. Unlike the majority nation, Hungarians face specific and narrowed opportunities, at least based on mother-tongue training or job opportunities. Because of mass immigration, in Vojvodina, attention has to be paid to the prevention of, or at least the predictability of, young migration of young talents. For elite substitution, it is best to keep in contact with those living in Diasporas (Diaspora program). In recent years, several studies have examined the labor market and territorial characteristics of immigration to Hungary. Re-settlers generate economic impacts on local and micro-regional levels, as well.
