Abstract
In 2006 the Constitutional Court of Hungary delivered several opinions that interpreted the main principles of the right to property. In these judgments the Court outlined new criteria for the adjudication of the unconstitutionality of the legal provisions that limit the right to property. These decisions merit special attention because in my opinion in these cases the Constitutional Court has departed in part from its previous interpretation, and strengthened the level of the protection of the right to property. In all the three cases I dissented from the majority opinion because I disagree with the more severe level of protection. The paper presents case by case the majority opinions, and publishes in its original extent the dissents.
