Abstract

This paper deals with the iterative transformation method for the solution of the boundary layer problem of a non-Newtonian power-law fluid flow along a moving flat surface. Applying similarity transformation to the system of the governing partial differential equations, we derive the boundary value problem of a nonlinear ordinary differential equation on [0, ∞). Numerical solutions are obtained for the velocity components. Moreover, we exhibit the drag coefficient dependence on the velocity ratio and on the power-law exponent.
