Abstract

Nowadays, justice and courts have to fulfil many challenges and requirements. The fact is that this area is also characterised by the standard approach that there is a need for other and further strategies: long-term objectives, clear perspectives, economic operation, as well as effective and timely court procedures. A professional collaboration between courts and other professions involved in court procedures, called the interdisciplinary cooperation is essential to be able to meet these requirements. Namely, by having an interdisciplinary cooperation, that is a collaboration of several professional areas, skills can multiply in favour of reaching of a higher quality and achievement, common professional language or development of new and multiple knowledge. Interdisciplinary cooperations appear in court procedures in several countries. So in Germany and Austria, procedural reforms have been introduced over the recent years particularly with regard to family law. These reforms were implemented by the introduction of model programs the objectives of which are the greater enforcement of children’s rights, the acceleration of court procedures, the inclusion of professional support, as well as the enhancement of interdisciplinary cooperation between the courts and different professions.
