Abstract

In this paper, we use Prandtl mixing-length theory and semiempirical theory to extend the classical problem of the wind in the steady atmospheric Ekman layer with constant eddy viscosity. New generalized atmospheric Ekman equations are established and qualitative properties of the corresponding ODEs are studied. Spatial wave solutions results for the nonlinear and implicit equations with different nonlinearities are presented.
