Abstract

A semiquantitative method was developed for the determination of watersolubie synthetic food dyes in foods. The method is the modification of the polyamide column chromatographic process of Lehmann. On applying the modified analytical method, the amount of all synthetic food dyes licensed in Hungary can be determined at an error not exceeding 10—15%. In the course of the investigations, the various methods of separation, fuerthermore also the reliability of the semiquantitative determination and the dye losses occurring in various phases of the procedure were studied. Eine halbquantitative Methode wurde zur Bestimmung von wasserlöslichen synthetischen Lebensmittelfarbstoffen in Lebensmitteln entwickelt. Die Methode ist eine Modifizierung des Lehmannschen Polyamid säulenchromatographischen Verfahrens. Mittels dieser modifizierten analytischen Methode ist die Mengeallcr in Ungarn genehmigten synthetischen Lebensmittelfarbstoffe m it einem höchstens 10—15%igen Fehler bestimmbar. Während der Untersuchungen wurden die verschiedenen Abtrennungsverfahren, ferner auch die Verlässlichkeit der halbquantitativen Bestimmung und der in den unterschiedlichen Phasen des Verfahrens vorkommende Farbstoffverlust studiert.
