Abstract

The applicability of the method in widespread use in Hungary for the determination of residues of chlorinated hydrocarbon pesticides was controlled. The recoveries in the individual steps of the extraction and cleanup process, furthermore during the evaporation were investigated by means of DDT and DDE labelled with UC. It was found that the results obtained by the investigated method are reliable provided the determination is carried out by an adepuately trained person, and thus the results give useful informations concerning the level of residues of chlorinated hydrocarbon residues. However, for routine tests by checking a great number of samples the method cannot be considered to be an optimal one. Die Anwendbarkeit des zur Bestimmung der Rückstände von aus chlorierten Kohlenwasserstoffen bestehenden Pestiziden in Ungarn weit verbreiteten Verfahrens wurde kontrolliert. Die Rückgewinnung bei den einzelnen Schritten des Extraktions- und Reinigungsverfahrens wie auch beim Einengen wurde mittels mit 14C markiertem DDT und DDE untersucht. Es wurde dabei festgestellt, dass die m it der untersuchten Methode erhaltenen Ergebnisse - falls die Bestimmung von einer entsprechend rutinierten Person durchgeführt wird - verlässlich sind und daher über das Niveau der Rückstände von aus chlorierten Kohlenwasserstoffen bestehenden Pestiziden eine geeignete Information geben. Zur rutinmässigen Kontrolle im Fall einer grossen Anzahl von Mustern kann aber die Methode nicht als optimal betrachtet werden.
