Abstract

Zur Bestimmung des Chiningehaltes sind mehrere Methoden bekannt. Von diesen beschäftigten sich die Verfasser mit dem spektrophotometrischen Verfahren und mit den von ihnen entwickelten gaschromatographischen Verfahren. Ihren Erfahrungen gemäss ergeben beide Verfahren gleichwertige Ergebnisse entsprechender Genauigkeit. Angaben werden veröffentlicht über den Chiningehalt von Erfrischungsgetränken vom Tonic-Typ. Die Produkte „Sztár tonik” enthielten etwa 30 mg/1, während die Produkte „Márka tonik” etwa 40 mg/1 Chinin. Die Produkte „Gyöngy tonik” und „Aranyhíd tonik” enthalten kein Chinin, ihr bitterer Geschmack wird durch Zugabe von Saccharose-octaacetat gesichert. Several methods are known for the determination of quinine content. Of these, the spectrophotometric method and the gas chromatographic method (the latter developed by the authors) were investigated. According to the obtained experiences both methods afford equivalent results of adequate accuracy at the investigation of soft drinks. Data are given of the quinine content of soft drinks of tonic type. The products „Sztár tonik” contained about 30 mg/1, whereas the „Márka tonik” products about 40 mg/1 quinine. In contrast to that, the products „Gyöngy tonik” and „Aranyhíd tonik” contain no quinine, the bitter taste is obtained by addition of sucrose octaacetate.
