Abstract

In der Fiitrationsphase der Rohfaserbestimmungsmethoden hält das Papierfilter von dem Aufschlussgemisch bei der Henneberg-Stohmann Methode verhältnismässig wenig, bei der Scharrer-Kürschner Methode bedeutende Mengen kolloidal gelöster Substanz zurück, was bei einem gravimetrischen Verfahren einen positiven Fehler verursacht. Wenn man bei der Scharrer — Kürschner Methode anstatt des Papierfilters Glasfilter G 2 benützt, verschwindet die durch Adsorption verursachte Gewichtszunahme, und man gelangt zu einem raschen und gut reproduzierbaren Verfahren. Bei der Glasfiltermethode kann man die Rohfaser nicht unmittelbar im Filter veraschen, lässt man aber das Gewicht der Asche unberücksichtigt, beeinflusst dies die für die Praxis nötige Genauigkeit überhaupt nicht. In the filtration phase of the methods for the quantitative determination of crude fibre, the paper filter retains in the Henneberg—Stohmann method a relatively small amount, while in the Scharrer— Kürschner method a significant quantity of colloidally dissolved substances. This causes a positive error in the gravimetric procedure. When however, in the Scharrer - Kürschner method, a G2 glass filter is employed instead of a paper filter, the weight increase due to adsorption is eliminated, and the analytical technique becomes rapid and readily reproducible. Though with the use of the glass filter the direct ignition of crude fibre in the filter itself is impossible, the neglection of the weight of ash does not affect the accuracy required in practical food analysis.
