Abstract
Zur topographischen Prüfung von fortwirtschaftlichen Samen erwies sich die l%ige wässerige Lösung von 2, 3, 5 Triphenyltetrazoliumchlorid am geeignetsten. Die Reaktion erfolgt ausschliesslich im intakten Keimgewebe, zeigt daher das prozentuale Verhältnis der „lebensfähigen”, bzw. „keimungsfähigen” Samen an. Die Prüfmethode kann auch bei zur Lagerung bestimmten Getreide angewandt werden, in diesem Falle drücken die nicht reagierenden, also farblos gebliebenen Körner prozentual den Keimungsgrad des untersuchten Getreides aus. In the topographic investigation of forestic seeds, a 1% aqueous solution of 2. 3. 5 triphenyl tetrazolium chloride proved to be suited. Namely, reaction only accurs with intact germ tissues, thus the percentage of ’’viable” and ’’germinating” seeds, respectively, in the investigated seed samples can be determined. This method of investigation can also be used in examining cereals prior to storage in that the number of non reactibg, i. e. colourless seeds disclosses the percentage of the ’’germinated” seeds in the investigated cereal.
