Abstract

Este estudio presenta la evolución del español como lengua extranjera en el sistema educativo húngaro en las últimas décadas y analizamos su situación en el año académico 2018/2019. Para el análisis utilizamos los datos de las estadísticas oficiales disponibles. Examinamos el peso y el volumen del español en la enseñanza reglada teniendo en cuenta su dinámica e intentamos esbozar cómo se ha situado el español entre las lenguas extranjeras más enseñadas en dicho país. Además, más allá de los datos nacionales, analizamos la difusión del español dentro de la geografía húngara teniendo en cuenta la división administrativa del país. Consideramos que la cantidad de matrículas en español no se reparte de manera homogénea por todo el espacio educativo nacional, lo cual puede deberse a circunstancias diversas. Con ello, examinamos la cuestión desde un punto de vista no aplicado en estudios anteriores. This paper presents the evolution of Spanish as a foreign language in the Hungarian educational system in the last decades and analyzes its situation in the academic year 2018/2019. For the analysis we use data available in official statistics. We examine the importance and volume of Spanish in regulated education, taking into account its dynamics, and we try to outline how Spanish has positioned itself among the most widely taught foreign languages in the country. In addition, beyond the national data, we analyze the diffusion of Spanish within the Hungarian geography taking into account the administrative division of the country. We consider that the number of enrollments in Spanish is not distributed homogeneously throughout the national educational space, which may be due to different circumstances. By this, we examine the question from a point of view not used in previous studies.
