Abstract

A pesar de que la literatura sobre los migrantes de Europa del Este en Colombia es escasa, son un grupo humano importante en la historia contemporánea del país, por la cantidad de personas que transitaron entre estos dos lugares y por las particularidades geopolíticas y culturales de dicho trayecto. Esta investigación busca caracterizar las tensiones geopolíticas, económicas, culturales y sociales de la posguerra y la Guerra Fría, a través del itinerario experiencial de un inmigrante húngaro en su tránsito entre Europa y Colombia. Para esto se entrecruzaron fuentes oficiales con la fuente central, la autobiografía titulada El Emigrante (documento inédito). The literature on Eastern European migrants in Colombia is scarce. However, they are an important human group in the contemporary history of the country, for the amount of people that circulated between the two regions, and for the geopolitical and cultural particularities of this itinerary. The aim of this paper is to characterize the geopolitical, economic, cultural and social tensions related to the post-war period and the Cold War, through the experiential itinerary of a Hungarian migrant in his transit between Europe and Colombia. With this purpose, this paper makes a cross-reference between an autobiographical memoir titled El Emigrante and official sources.
