N2 - The tri-border means the point where the borders of three states meet.In the terrain tri-border signs (Triplex Confinni) mark the beginning and the end of the common border area of the three neighbour countries. The Clause 27 of the Peace Agreement signed in Trianon on 4th June 1920 defined the new border of Hungary. The tri-borders along with their end and beginning points are clearly marked in the description. The partialdesignation of the border is delegated to the comittees by the Clause 29. Four tri-border points of Hungary are established, marked and consolidated with signs by the Trianon Peace Agreement. The issue of the South-East tri-border along with the Porgány issue ? regarding the village Porgány nearby ? emerged even in front of the Council of the Ambassadors at the time of the Trianon border designation. Finally it had been sorted out in June 1925, after a lot of debates, just before the Hungarian-Romanian Border Designation Comittee dissolved. As a result, the stone that marked the tri-border point was set in the location defined by the decision which had been made on 12th June 1922. The study reviews this diplomatic battle, which finally turned out to be fruitless.
