The large motorway projects being under construction with the ongoing – anachronistic for the time being – high speed railway projects will provide an alternative for the East-West combined transport connection between the Greek seaports and Italy (for example either in case of Balkan War situations when Vardar-Morava river becomes unusable or in peace-time creating South-North terrestrial connections towards Central and Western Europe. The limitation of shipping traffic at Bosporus with globalisation may generate a new logistic system of overseas freight transportation and this will increase the appreciation of South-Greek (Cretian) seaports. %Z Bibliogr.: 177. p. és a lábjegyzetben ; ill. ; összefoglalás angol nyelven
