This event happened in the 13th century, maybe in the year 1300. This struggle happened between the ranks of the Cancellieri clan which was part of the city elite. In the narrative sources we can read that the event determined the history of both Pistoia and the region. The oppositions among the Pistoiain elite caused similar factional strives in Florence too, because the leaders of the two Cancellieri-factions moved to Florence. The Cancellieri called whites had links with the Florentine white Guelfs, the other part had relatives within the Florentine black Guelf party. The Florentine party leaders, the Donati (blacks) and the Cerchi (whites) had several conflicts in everyday politics and the impulse of the Cancellieri clan members had a huge effect on the situation. This distinction resulted in bloody factional wars in Florence, which just ended in 1308. In my study I look through the narrative sources of this period, both from Pistoia and from Florence and examine city relations between the two famous Tuscan cities. %A Szolnoki ZoltĂĄn %T VĂĄrosok kĂśzĂśtti kapcsolat ĂŠs politikai intrika a Cancellieri-vendetta leĂrĂĄsaiban %J KĂśzĂŠpkortĂśrtĂŠneti tanulmĂĄnyok
