The rabbi, born 200 years ago, played a decisive role in building up the spirit that required a modern school where rabbis were trained. LipĂłt LĂśw first raised the idea to create a rabbinical seminary on June 2, 1844, in the newspaper Pesti HĂrlap. Finally, the adoption of the so called âemancipation actâ (the XVII. act from 1867) led in 1877to the inauguration of the Budapest Rabbinical Seminary. %N 11 %K ZsidĂłk tĂśrtĂŠnete - MagyarorszĂĄg - 19-20. sz., LĂśw LipĂłt
