%X The role of the National Parliaments within the framework of the European Union has increased from time to time. However, their role is influenced not only by the funding treaties, but also by the best practices of the Member States and their constitutional framework. Consequently, on the one hand, this permits a comparative analysis of the national solutions regarding the controlling rights of the NPs towards their Governments. On the other hand, the entry into force of the Lisbon Treaty and the new Basic Law of Hungary make a two-way analysis of the NP’s role possible, particularly regarding Article 14 of the Basic Law, which amends Article 35/A of the Constitution.
