Nyelvek és irodalom description: In my discussion about the foreign language (FL) learning of Hungarian hearing impaired children, I intend to prove that it is not self-evident that verbal Hungarian is their mother tongue just because their nationality is Hungarian, thus it is not necessarily worth teaching a FL through spoken Hungarian. I focus on the question of mother tongue, as teaching a FL is affected by one’s native language (Kárpáti 2004:166). I am interested in why it is so difficult to define a hearing impaired child’s mother tongue, and why it is so difficult to teach a hearing impaired student his or her native language and / or a FL. date: 2013 type: Könyv része type: NonPeerReviewed format: part language: hu identifier: http://acta.bibl.u-szeged.hu/71389/1/english_and_american_otdk_2007-2011_135-159.pdf identifier: Pintér Petra Orsolya: Foreign language learning of hearing impaired children.
