I focus on the question of mother tongue, as teaching a FL is affected by one’s native language (Kárpáti 2004:166). I am interested in why it is so difficult to define a hearing impaired child’s mother tongue, and why it is so difficult to teach a hearing impaired student his or her native language and / or a FL. %Z Bibliogr.: p. 158-159. ; összefoglalás angol nyelven
