%X Das ausführlich, ausgearbeitete Kobalt-Bestimmungsverfahren beruht darauf, dass das a-nitroso /S-Naphthol mit Kobalt eine in Chloroform lösliche, rote komplexe Verbindung liefert. Die Farbintensität der Lösung ist dem Kobaltgehalt proportional. Die Methode eignet sich in Lebbensmitteln zur Bestimmung von 2—20 у Kobalt. Die Vorbereitung des Lebensmittels erfolgt durch nasse Zersetzung oder Veraschung. The method of cobalt determination evolved in detail by the authors is based on the fact that a-nitroso /З-naphthol forms with cobalt a red complex compound soluble in chloroform. The colour intensity of this solution proved to be proportional to its cobalt content. The method is suitable for the determination of cobalt contents of foods from 2 to 20 mg. The food sample is prepared for the analysis by moist destruction or by incineration. La méthode élaborée en detail pour le dosage du cobalt est fondée sur le fait que l’a-nitroso /З-naphtol donne avec du cobalt un composé complex rouge soluble au chloroforme. L’intensité de la coloration de la solution est proportionnelle ä la teneur en cobalt. La méthode peut servir pour le dosage de 2 á 20 у de cobalt dans les denrées alimentaires. La préparation de l’échantillon se fait par dissolution complete ou par incinération.
