%X Las elecciones generales del 10 de noviembre de 2019 mostraron claramente el fin del bipartidismo en España. Tras la reestructuración del espacio político y el empate técnico en las elecciones ningún partido político obtuvo la mayoría absoluta de los votos (176 escaños) para formar un gobierno estable. Finalmente, los partidos izquierdistas (el Partido Socialista Obrero Español y Unidas Podemos) formaron un gobierno en minoría con el apoyo de 18 diputados de Esquerra Republicana de Cataluña y de EH-Bildu. La primera tarea es asegurar la gobernabilidad de España así como promover la recuperación económica y tratar la crisis migratoria. El objetivo de mi artículo es evaluar las elecciones y sus consecuencias en el país ibérico. También voy a analizar la campaña electoral y su impacto en el terreno político. En mi ensayo no voy a ocuparme de la política europea del gobierno izquierdista y de las causas del independentismo en Cataluña. The parliamentary elections, which were held on 10 November 2019 in Spain, clearly showed the end of the two-party system. Due to the transformation of the political arena and the stalemate, neither the left-wing nor right-wing blocs obtained 176 seats needed for an absolute majority in order to form a workable government. Finally, the left-wing parties (The Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party and Unidas Podemos) could only form a new government with the support of 18 MPs of the Esquerra Republicana de Cataluña and EHBildu. The primary aim is to maintain government sustainability in Spain together with the economic recovery and handle the migration crisis. The aim of my article is to evaluate the parliamentary elections and its consequences in Spain. Emphasis will be placed on the election campaign and its impacts on the political arena, but I will not highlight the European policy of the left-wing government and the reasons of Catalonia’s independence movement.
