Absztrakt (kivonat)
The first part of the study deals with the causes of the Fifteen Years' War. The author stresses, that considering its essence there is no relevant difference between this war and other Turkish wars. Yet in its breaking out the crisis played an important role, of which both the internal and external factors should be taken into consideration. The author regards the political considerations important as well, which induced the Turkish Empire to wage war against the Habsburgs, who were becoming more and more influential in Middle-East-Europe. The delaying of the tribute and the Hungarian plundering attacks contributed to this decision, as well as the defeat at Sziszek. In the second part the article studies the Turkish strategy concerning the war. From the steps of Sinan he draws the conclusion, that the Grand Vizier wanted short war, not longer than two years. The short war necessarily limited his objects, so Sinan wanted to occupy only the important north-transdanubian territory. The occupation of the highlands territory does not occur among the objects of the Turkish strategy; here, according to the letter of Hassan, the Turks would prefer a vassal state, similar to that of the Transylvanian principality. The study leaves that question open, whether the occupation of Wien was included among the aims of the Porte. The author seems to prefer the negative answer. In the third part the question of Turkish strategical aims during individual campaigns comes up. The author studies the strategy of the campaigns on the basis of Turkish sources in chronological order. In his opinion the central strategy, predetermined in Istambul dominated during the war, which strategy could not foresee those modifications on the seat of operations. So the serdars were forced to modificate the objects of central strategy in the spirit of ,,ad hoc" strategy. The war was characterized by the specific duality of central strategy and ,,ad hoc" strategy, with the dominance of the former.
