Among texts of the 13th century privileges of Golnicbanya (Gelnica, Slovakia) only one survives through later transcripts, the one issued by Ladislaus IV, king of Hungary. Since the text of this charter used by Hungarian historians is an incomplete transcript dating from 1699, the date of the original document as well as that of the two transcripts by Charles I have been uncertain. In the course of their work, compilers of Anjou-kori oklev61tar (Documents of the Angevin-era) came across a 19th document the textual tradition of which is independent of the above-mentioned incomplete one. The intact, although late document containing misreadings, made it possible to date all three incomplete documents and the reconstruction of their full text. The privilege of Ladislaus IV was issued in 1287, and it was transcribed by Charles I on 29th August, 1318, and on 17th October, 1327.
