The authors obtained new hypotheses on four points as regards the Hungarian aspects of the Russian Annals: 1. The expression of Olmin dvor (the court of Olm or Olma) cannot be connected with the 9th century Hungarian prince, Almos, since according to the Russian Annals Olma had the Church of St. Nicholas of Kijev set up, so he probably lived after 988, possibly at the turn of the 11-12th centuries. 2. The adjective Ugorskoje, mentioned as part of Kijev cannot refer to a hill in Kijev, but being separated from the noun selo („settlement") became a noun and reflects the conditions of the 11th century, when that part of Kijev, formerly inhabited by merchants, Hungarian tradesmen settled down. 3. The double narration of Ugrians passing by Kijev (once as an undated entry, once as a record for 6404, i. e. the year of 898) refer to the same event, the direct antecedents of the Hungarian Conquest. The originally single piece of information was taken apart to two parts by some compilator of the Russian Annals and was inserted in two different passages. 4. Those Ugrians, who according to the Russian Annals appeared at the time of emperor Heraklios, were probably Onogurs, who were different from the White and Black Ugrians participants of the Hungarian Conquest. According to the text the Black Hungarians lived east of the river Dnieper and the first attack of the Pecheneg invasion preceding the Conquest befell them.
