Dr. István Zimonyi is an associate professor of the Department of Medieval World History at the University of Szeged. Between 2007 and 2011, he was the director of the Offi ce of the Hungarian Cultural Counsellor in Cairo. He was interviewed in connection with this position, and he was asked about the links and cultural relationships between the two countries, the Egyptian revolution, the facilities, and about the everyday life of local people.
