On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Spanish Civil War, the aim of this article is to present an overview of the attention that the civil war has received in recent years. It deals with the most important works, debates and trends of historiography, andit also points out that the civil society is concerned with this topic as well, they show their interest through social networks, diverseonline platforms and even digital press. Finally, it raises the question about a hypothetical „normalization” of the war in the Spanish society.
