Abstract

The global changes in the past fifteen years have mentally affected the human resources of education, i.e. the people working and involved in the field of education. These effects should be taken into consideration because present teachers and professors are responsible not only for the education and training of future generations but also for their successful social integration and well-being. A research which has been going on since 2013 focuses on the subjective factors that can influence the professional identity of teachers and professors because they can affect their views and work values, determine their professional well-being as well as shape their actions and attitudes to work. The present study introduces the secondary research and shows the findings of a comparative survey carried out in two countries with the help of an on-line questionnaire.
