Absztrakt (kivonat)
This paper is dealing with the issue of Socialist Industrialization in Transylvania during the decades of Socialist Romania. Based on analytic bibliography and statistics, but also using some specific case-studies in their details, the focus is primarly on three important cities from Transylvania: Cluj-Napoca/Kolozsvár, targu Mures/Marosvásárhely and Oradea/Nagyvárad. Beside the role of centrally planned industrialization in economic life, the paper is dealing with changes intervened, duet o the interaction of industrialization with urbanization, changes intervened in ethnic and social structures of the three cities listed above.
