Abstract
Many high-school students got to the Front from a moment to the next during the Great War. Students, were studying from 1914 to 1918 couldn't go the path as their fellow-students graduated earlier. They volunteered to join to the army's bond by patriotic enthusiasm. The piarist student László Kókay, who was born in Szeged, also did the 115same. When he reached his 18 year old age, interrupted his studies. In 1915he voluntarily joined to the 46th infantry regiment. Keeping the original military language he written down his happenings for himself and his family with very detailed notes in exercise books. His walk of life after the War and due to the stormy political changes is typical as the soldiers's destiny who experienced the first war. At the introducing and adapting process of his diary we may lean on a well-written sourcework about knowing a young soldiers's destiny.
