Abstract
My study is dealing with an alternative educational instrument, namely the legal clinic. The legal clinic methodology is widely spread all over the globe, but still, there is no internationally agreed definition. I divided my study into two main parts. In the first one, I presented the two main goals of the legal clinics, the educational and the social aims, and the most famous types of the clinical legal education. In the second part, I introduced the characteristic elements of the Hungarian and Polish clinical legal education and conducted a comparative analysis of the above-mentioned countries’ legal clinic programs.
