In the article, Ivan Franko’s Hungarian themes/motives are constituted (ideas, symbolic details and other) in the text of The clean race short novel. The author of article interprets both historical and literary senses of I. Franko’s scientific Hungarian studies, dedicated to the old time and actual new events & problems in Austrian-Hungarian monarchy of the middle and end of XIXth century. Moreover, the article analyses the specifics of reception and usage of I. Franko’s ideas of harmonisation of the international relations between Hungary and Ukraine.
