Ageing of the population is a current process, its consequents determine our future. Result of a compound process is the ageing. That comes into existence because of several factors. Even as low or descending number of births, increasing expectation of average life, changing of mortality, the rate of domestic and international migration. The progress of ageing characterizes North-America, Japan and Europe — and therefore this tendency works in Hungary, and forms our national, demographic events. In my study I am showing the concept of ageing, and the old age. I am sketching the complex system of the ageing process's negative social consequents, and I am trying to introduce these consequents' variant solutions aspect of the individual, or civil organizations, or the state. One of the state solution possibilities is the forming of long term care legal structure. For that very reason I am presenting the Hungarian concept of long term care. In my work by way of the present Hungarian legal possibilities of the persons and the state social benefits I am delineating why a new, social law system is needed in Hungary for the sake of the managing long term care, as a new social risk.
