Absztrakt (kivonat)
The paper presents the Udmurt onomastic terminology on how the Udmurt people used their personal names (antroponyms) until the first half of the 20th century. It draws attention to the fact that the question of the naming of the Udmurt-speaking population can still be a challenge for researchers today. However, with the passage of time and the modernisation of life, it has become less and less possible to explore the problem of former personal names of the Udmurt people on the basis of contemporary ethnographic, texts collections and data. Perhaps the exploration of archival sources for the purpose of nomenclature can bring us closer to a solution.
